“Cool, I won!” Sandpoint Resident Claims $1 Million Powerball Winner

BOISE, Idaho – Winning $1 million for most people would be an exciting experience. Brian Reed of Sandpoint, though, was very calm when he found out he held the $1 million winning ticket from last Saturday night´s Powerball draw.

Earlier in the day, he was returning from fishing on Lake Pend Oreille when he stopped in the Travel America Plaza in Sagle to buy a few Powerball tickets.

“I asked for a $5 quick pick, but actually had an extra dollar so I got three,” said Reed. The middle pick ended up being the winner.

He found out he held the winning ticket that matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball on Saturday. “I didn´t get too excited, I just said ´Cool, I won´,” described Reed.

Reed plans to invest his winnings in a few business ventures and be able to spend more time with his grandkids.
