BOISE, Idaho – Ken Smart, Caldwell, is no stranger to finding lucky winning Lottery tickets. Monday, Smart claimed his second, six-figure winning Scratch ticket in the past four years from the Idaho Lottery with a $100,000 winner on the game 50X the Money. His winning ticket was purchased at the Stinker Fuel Center in front of the Albertsons on 24th Avenue and Cleveland Boulevard in Caldwell.
Nearly four years ago, Smart claimed a $250,000 Scratch ticket prize from the Idaho Lottery. With this recent win, and a few smaller five-figure wins along the way, Smart is now the third luckiest Scratch ticket winner in Idaho.
“Last time I was here, I said I was going to invest in my wife’s book and since then it really has taken off,” said Smart, whose wife Pam is a local artist with the self-published art book series called Color Me Your Way. The book series is sold nationwide and in several countries.
“I also promised to take her on a cruise to Alaska for the honeymoon we never had. Well, we did,” said Smart. “This time, I’m going to pay off a few bills and maybe drive back to Alaska.”
For their part in selling the winning ticket, Stinker Stores receives a bonus from the Idaho Lottery of $10,000.
